Back-to-Back Jeepers Sequels?
Source:Ryan Rotten
April 25, 2008

Last night, ShockTillYouDrop.com caught wind of an interesting development. In addition to helming Jeepers Creepers 3 (last report), franchise writer-director Victor Salva may be eyeing a fourth installment right on the heels of the third for MGM.

The studio, according to our sources, is interested in ordering up two sequels shot back-to-back - an exercise many production entities are exploring these days (see: Feast 2 and 3, etc.).

Salva most recently penned an episode of NBC's Fear Itself - directed by John Landis (details). He'll be taking the stage this Saturday to talk about the horror anthology series - and perhaps more (I'll be moderating the panel) - at Fangoria's Weekend of Horrors in L.A.

The Jeepers Creepers films have scared up a worldwide gross of an estimated $122 million. That doesn't include DVD rentals and sales.

The whole purpose of the way the Jeepers creepers plot was written was to avoid sequels! They exploited a loop hole in the last movie... what arethey going to do, a movie in a different time frame.. (i.e. The future or past?)

Awesome. I love the Jeepers creature and would love to see more of him on film. It would be nice if they could get people that knew what he was hunting him so we could learn more about where in the hell he came from. You know, they could just use this as a vehicle for a Supernatural movie. Sam and Dean vs. this thing would be awesome.

Uh, it seemed a lot more like the story behind the Creeper (awakens every 23 years) was meant to provide an unlimited source of movies. So the first 2 were set near the beginning and at the end of his current time awake, why does that matter? We have no clue how old it is or where it came from.

Give us more Jeepers Creepers movies, I'm sick of horror films always having humans as a monster/serial killer instead of actual supernatural creatures.

Come one, there could be dozens of sequels that are set in the present day, just like the previous two films. Those films only covered about 3 days worth of the Creeper's 23 day feeding period. They could make 23 films set in the present if they wanted to.

I just hope Salva keeps the disturbing ****sexual predator allegories coming full force in any and all sequels. That's the main thing that elevates the JC movies to greatness.

I can't bear to watch salvas crap knowing hes a convicted sex offender!

Posted by: Matt Mosley on April 25, 2008 at 17:07:45

F**k Jeepers Creepers 3 and F**k Victor Salva - he is a convicted child rapist!

If you go and see his movies you're giving money to a man who raped an 8-year old boy!

Posted by: Wade Le Fevre on April 25, 2008 at 17:13:55

Hey Matt Mosley. Isn't the purpose of prison to rehabilitate? Did Victor Salva rape an 8 year old? yes. But he went to jail for it and there have been no complaints since. So deal with it.

As for Jeepers Creepers they are the most original monster movies made in America in the last twenty years, so as long as their good, keep em coming.

I love the Jeepers Creepers movies.I agree with you Andy Nix.It would be bad ass to see Sam and Dean fight this thing.I say bring on the 3rd one.I've been waiting to see his face open up and break free of that Barn that he's hold up in.

I loved the Jeeper Creepers movies, but only years later did I discover what this creep did and I will boycott any future films made by this freak.

Salva pleaded guilty in 1988 to five felony counts of child sex abuse; he served 15 months of a three-year prison sentence.

15 months? Wtf? My sister is in jail right now for an armed robbery, which there is verification that she wasn't even physically involved. She knew/helped plan it, but she wasn't even there. In this armed robbery, no weapon was in sight, the weapon was only pointed out by one of the robbers and my sister received 4 years! 4 ****en years and this sick **** only served 15 months?

In spite of this fact and the fact that she immediately after being arrested discovered she was pregnant, the judge wouldn't provide my sister(who has NEVER been in trouble with the law) any leneancy, but they do for him? That isn't right. No one btw, was harmed in the robbery!

Hey Wade, shut ur face, ****er. 15 months hardly seems fair for what he did. I'd like to see your child be raped and see what you think is fair! Being rehabilitated doesn't erase the fact that he's a child rapist! For what he did he should have received a lot more time behind bars than he did. Why not ask the family or victim what they think is fair.

Man, making sequels to a movie who's plot was to stop sequels is so much like kicking the writer in the crotch.

Oh, and does any one else think it's funny that a convicted child molester writes movies about a monster attacking kid's?

Posted by: joe asylo on April 25, 2008 at 23:39:03

that a never knew.

Posted by: Andrew on April 26, 2008 at 02:46:21

The purpose of prison is to punish and prevent dangerous freaks from hurting innocent people. Something they've lost track of now that the world has turned into a spineless, PC mess where bad guys get treated better than decent people because they've got a sob story and all the touchy-feely hippies feel sorry for them. Heaven forbid anyone come up with a wacky concept like maybe some people are just evil. We'll just blame guns, peer pressure and TV for all that. It's easier that way.

Posted by: Bill on April 26, 2008 at 10:22:01

Victor Salva did not rape an 8 year old boy. He sexually molested a 12 year old boy and videotaped it.

Get the facts right.

Having said that, I still hope he burns in hell for that crap, and, before he goes to hell, I will watch all of his Jeepers Creepers movies because they are entertaining just like I watch The Tim Burton directed Pee Wee Herman film, and just like I watch the Lord of the Rings with the gay Gandalf, and just like I watch any other movie.

Remember, Salva can't take any of his money with him to hell, so all will be sorted out once he gets down there.

excellent points bill

I'm all up for a Jeepers sequel but why back to back films? That's how 'crappy' movies are made these days. Noone takes the time to properly work the film. They just chunk a film out there just to capitalize its' popularity. I really dislike that.

Posted by: jekglobal on April 26, 2008 at 13:24:16

Hey,at least they're not remakes.

Posted by: Gil on April 26, 2008 at 17:07:47

I am not a big horror movie fan but I did watch the first JC movie on SciFi channel then was intrigued to watch the second one so I rented it. I personally like the second one better because we learn more about the creature and we actually get to see someone hunting it down.

I don't have a problem with a third movie as long as it has an interesting story lined that includes details about his origin, age and if it can be killed. I don't want just some stupid story about a man was cursed a long time ago to become the creature and since then he can never rest.

I for one would like to see perhaps another creature be introduced the story line, maybe a nemesis but still evil in nature, some twist would be good.

Posted by: bill you're a retard on April 27, 2008 at 02:16:45

bill you're assuming a place like hell actually exists. maybe it does, maybe it doesn't. still, this sick **** shouldn't be supported while alive on earth

Posted by: buddhafistz on April 28, 2008 at 09:23:31

ok first molesting anyone is messed up! Second at least it ain't a crappy remake..at least they are orignal flicks. Lastly Gambit stop whining bout your sister. She shouldn't have helped plan an armed robbery. She got what she deserved. Stop trying to make her sound like an angel..oh she didn't have a gun but they cats she planned it with did! oh she pregent..well she should have thought bout that before she planned a armed robbery!

Posted by: Josh on April 28, 2008 at 12:41:37

Wow! Certain people sure do feel comfortable laying out their family story on an online forum about movie, a forum that anyone in the world can read. In my opinion, the punishment fits the bill, especially if it was a pretty daring robbery on a bank, US Govt office, charity organization, etc. (or an attempt at a daring robbery anyway)

Don't be doing stupid S*** and not expect to pay any consequences. And don't be upset if the sentence is on the lengthy side either. That's what you get for being a moron and breaking the law. Obviously, a 4 year sentence is in the sentencing guidelines for the crime and circumstances of the crime.

Anyway, I didn't know this guy was a pedera**, and I am shocked someone was able to have a career in film with that background (well, it's liberal city Hollywood, so I shoudn't be surprised they let pedera**es make movies). I did enjoy the firt 2 creeper movies, and I would be willing to watch 3-4 but under the circumstances, I won't give a dime to the studios if it goes to theaters. I will wait and pay less at rental or see if I can borrow it from someone. Heck, I may even read the spoiler online to see if it is even worth watching first (did that with the Mist and I was ticked I did because of the twist ending - oh well, you win some and lose some). I would like to read more on this guy though and see how much of a creep he is himself. It's probably safe to say just boycott it until you can get the DVD in the $3 bin at Wal-Mart!!

Posted by: Gambit on April 28, 2008 at 16:23:07

buddhafistz, shut your trap. I'm not saying she didn't deserve to go to prison, because she did. I'm saying that since she got 4 years for a robbery that she didn't physically take part of, has a child who is now growing up without a mother and this is her first offense there is NO GOOD explanation as to why she would have received MORE PRISON TIME than this **** received!

He got 3 years compared to her 4 and she is going to serve at least 3 of those years wherein he only had to serve 15 months. I could live with him only serving 3(although that is still bull****), but 15 months is ****ed up! He didn't serve his time! And Wade Le Fevre Don't talk rehabilitation to me, he hasn't earned a second chance. He received little more than a slap on the wrist!

Btw, courts usually show leniancy on people with no prior offenses/people with children and yet my sister was shown none.

Clearly rape of a 12 year old boy while videotaping it(clearly staged/planned, not some heat of the moment thing) is a far worse offense than what my sister did, but I'll bet your ass that this *******'s rape ****ed that kid up for life, not to mentioned hurt his family.

Whereas my sister's robbery hurt no one physically or mentall, this ****'s rape ****ed had quite a different outcome on that child and his family. So buddhafistz you explain to me now how his 15 months compared to her 3 years is fair, if you don't have an explaination(a good one) then just shut your mouth!

Posted by: Gambit on April 28, 2008 at 16:31:08

Josh for your information, no weapon was ever present, just threatened. 2nd she wasn't there. 3rd it was an Arby's restaurant. 3rd, she was a moron I admit that. 4th while I think 4 years is harsh I'm not arguing that I'm arguing that Victor Salva's crime of raping a 12 year old child and video taping it(which was clearly planned, not a heat of the moment thing) he should have received a harsher sentence than my sister or at least been forced to undertake all 3 years not get out after a lousy 15 months.

JC3 better be in theaters. That's all I can say.
