Jaime Ray Newman (Supernatural) is the first of three actresses to be cast as one of The Witches of Eastwick. ABC has officially begun development on the series which is based loosely on the '87 film of the same name. David Nutter is directing the pilot.
Newman (pictured below) will play Kat, a good-natured nurse and a mom of five kids who discovers her new powers. Veronica Cartwright, who co-starred in the Witches film, is also set to appear in the series, however, THR does not specify what her role is.

There's already a pilot for a Witches of Eastwick t.v. series floating around since 1992.
I'd like to think this would be good, but I can't help but ponder it'll be a cross between Charmed and Desperate Housewives.
