Granted, I thought H.O.T.C. was complete trash. I really liked Devil's Rejects. He really made a leap in between those two films. When i heard he was doing the re-make of Halloween I wasn't dissapouinted. The trailers even gave me faith. It wasn't until I sat down and watched the first 30 or so minutes that really made me believe that Rob has not one original thought in his head. I understand this is a "re-imagination" but c'mon, lets be serious. Halloween is deeper than that. Rob went the 100% stereotypical way. Michael talks, raised in bad home, mother is a stripper, picked in school. I mean jesus!! He even focused on the mask whcih in the original had no significance at all. It was just sum styupid mask. Literally. Same thing happened to Texas Chainsaw Massacre. They focus on letherface as if he was the foundation of the original story when all he was was just a retarded cook. Directors these days have really no substance or originality. I hope Last House on The Left doesn't fall under the same errors. Haloween was a visually cool film, but the story was just awful. I was actually happy we "thought" he died, but it looks like they are gonna say he was shot in the ear or sumthin. I mean damn. How much blood can spurt on her face from a shoulder wound??
