Canadian Halloween 2 Poster the Real Deal?
Source:IMP Awards
July 10, 2009

Update @ 5:17pm Pacific: Yep, it's fan-made. And hey, go to the official site for some bizarro wallpapers for your computer.

As reputable as the IMP Awards site is, I can believe this is the Canadian one-sheet for Halloween 2 they say it is. What you've got here is a hi-res publicity still slapped with a credits block. And that tagline? "Welcome to Haddonfield General." I could understand using a grabber like that if the entire film was set in a hospital, but this one is not. I'm callin' bullshit. Then again, the credits block does reflect an Alliance Films - the Canadian distributor - logo. If it's legit? F**k it, this poster is still unimaginative.

wow this poster looks horrible. I would at least show a poster with his face and with the hospital underneath it kinda like the halloween movie posters.

*Like the old halloween posters.

Posted by: Scarehuman on July 10, 2009 at 19:08:25

No, not buying this is legit, although many times foreign posters are of a lesser quality than domestic. Either way, its no worse than all the sub par real Halloween 2 posters out there.

Uh... We have the exact same posters the US have. There's no "special" posters in Canada except the French ones, and that ain't French.

i think it's fan made. all they did is slap the credits stuff on the JUST RELEASED pic of Michael walking up the stairs.
it's STILL not awful but it's not really that great either. LOL.
i'm STILL psyched for H2!!

The first remake kick all the Halloween's butts and I can't wait for Halloween 2. I can't say that I really liked any of the posters so far and like djblack1313 said. This definatly looks fan made. A problem that seems to be with a lot of posters these days. Good poster or not I like Zombies style of gritty no bulls#*t film making.

As a Canadian I can assure you that Canadian posters are generally EXACTLY the same as American posters. I call bull****!!!

its just a poster...no consequence on the movie itself.

Posted by: Frank Booth on July 10, 2009 at 21:19:10

I don't care if they show Michael scratching his ass, I still can't wait til this comes out.

Posted by: DEAN on July 10, 2009 at 21:53:28

I wasnt going to see this cause i hated the last one but after seeing the last trailer that came out and this new poster i definitly will see this

Posted by: Aaron on July 10, 2009 at 23:10:56

Wow, this is stupid and unimaginative... kind of fits in perfectly with the first film.

Posted by: big larry on July 11, 2009 at 00:49:53

Always stairways in the Michael shots, even in publicity stills from Carpenter's film where he is at the top of the stairs facing down--this one is even more symbolic in that Zombie's Michael is reversed and has to climb up to Carpenter's level (and doesn't have a chance in hell of making it).

Posted by: GW on July 11, 2009 at 01:35:49

I call shenanigans. Although it would fit with Rob's apparent interest in photoshopping screen caps and slapping the title on them, I'm skeptical it's legit. Fonts and credit blocks are easy to fake.

At the very least, it's inspired somewhat more clever comments from those who don't want to see the film.

looks like a 13 year old kid made this poster

Posted by: WiFi on July 11, 2009 at 02:09:21

"oh my god you what would be could be cool for a halloween 2 movie poster?
"what?"
"micheal myers walking up stairs!"

Posted by: lol on July 12, 2009 at 14:28:21

wow whoever runs this site is stupid, its fake, fake, fake, fake, some guy in the halloween 2 forum made that thing with an official pic of the movie, wow you guys are really retarded.

Posted by: M on July 12, 2009 at 15:03:55

If this isn't fan made the person being payed to make it should be fired

Posted by: Pat on July 13, 2009 at 09:48:06

While I do think this poster completely sucks, I bet you anything if the posters that we currently have for H2 somehow got leaked beforehand, people would have thought they were fake too. All the posters out for this movie suck. This alleged Canadian one is just as bad as the others. For all the bad marketing and artwork done for this movie, I'm surprised as to why ANYONE wants to see it. It looks like it should be going direct to DVD, and to me, it's just another Halloween movie that adds to the list of all the other ones. It's unoriginal, overdone and if it wasn't for Rob Zombie's name plastered on it, no one would care.

Posted by: GW on July 13, 2009 at 14:30:26

Actually, the film is far more original than the sequels to Carpenter's film.

Believe it or not there are those out there who have a different opinion than you do about this film, Rob Zombie, and probably a lot of other things.

Crazy, I know.

Bull****! I've never seen this poster anywhere in Canada! I have seen the real official one though.
