EXCL: Farmer Talks Devil's Commandos Plot
Source:ShockTillYouDrop.com
December 26, 2008

The last year has been a busy one for scribe Todd Farmer (Jason X). In addition to penning 2009's slasher redo My Bloody Valentine 3D he also hashed out the prequel Messengers 2: The Scarecrow. Next, ShockTillYouDrop.com has learned the writer is developing Devil's Commandos for Thomas Jane (The Mist) to star.

"Devil's Commandos is a Tim Bradstreet (The Punisher) story," Farmer tells us, passing along the artwork below. "Turns out, not only can Timmy draw, his noodle churns out some rockin' ideas. Who knew? But I told him if I wrote the thing he wouldn't get any credit. He'd end up as a footnote somewhere. So I suggested he write it with me. Tom will star and direct in 3-D to follow his Dark Country debut. Plan is to start after Tom wraps Hung."

Farmer and Jane previously collaborated in 2007 when the former wrote the comic book series Alien Pig Farm 3000. "Devil's Commandos is about a WWII commando unit sent on a rescue mission. Pretty straight forward. Except for the part where hell opens up and they have to fight Satan's army."

Stay tuned for more on Devil's Commandos as things develop.

Good idea. Kinda to bad though. TJ is a good actor that's being relegated to starring in b-movies.

Being that Raw is Jane's company, I doubt he's looking at it as being "relegated to starring in b-movies"...

B-movies? He's starring in a new show for HBO, and he's directing films. That is a LONG way from being relegated to B-movies. I hate the way it's always negative these days. There is always this cynical edge to opinions on the internet. Unless it's big budget studio films like GI Joe, it's failure. Tom Jane is a failure, obviously. Right? He was pretty shrewd not to do the Punisher: Silly Zone, wasn't he?

Whats wrong with B-movies? They're not all bad, in fact alot are fun to watch as long as you're not looking for a dramatic character study or something and they're just giving it that B-movie look which doesnt necessarily mean it's bad.
