Plot Summary: Jet Li plays a despotic Emperor in 50 B.C. whose evil is punished by a terrible curse laid on him by wizardress Michelle Yeoh: he and his army are turned into to terra cotta for all time; that is, unless he is re-awakened which, of course, is where the O'Connells come back into it.

The story moves to the year 1946. When we find them, Rick (Brendan Fraser) and Evelyn (Maria Bello) are retired to Oxfordshire, England, having been spies for the British during World War II. They are bored silly and welcome the offer of "one last mission" from the Foreign Office. Their assignment: courier a precious artifact back to the museum in Shanghai, China from which it was stolen.

Back to Asia: China is in turmoil but Jonathan (John Hannah) owns an Egyptian-themed bar in Shanghai. Unbeknownst to his parents, now grown-up Alex O'Connell (Luke Ford) is following in the family business as a young archaeologist on a dig in north-central China. He makes the discovery of a lifetime: the tomb of the Dragon Emperor, which has been buried for millennia. A beautiful assassin (Isabella Leong) tries to kill him to keep the location secret but Alex prevails. The Emperor's monument is transported back to Shanghai where another plot is in motion: military zealot Anthony Wong intends to awaken the Emperor and aid him in the re-conquest of China and the raising of his terra cotta army of ten thousand clay warriors.

The family is reunited and high adventure ensues: crash landings, treks thru the Himalayas, Yeti, avalanches, Shangri-la, three-headed dragons, pools of eternal life, epic battles, a shape-shifting Jet Li...

this movie is going to be cool

Posted by: sean on July 17, 2008 at 16:57:08

This will be the best mummy movie ever made!, hands down!. I promise you that, 100% perect indeed!!!=).No lies at all, what so ever! =).

Posted by: imtiaz on July 21, 2008 at 17:08:20

mostly it's just fight scenes. i would have preferred to have seen more dialogue scene's, but maybe they'll be too spoilerish to show right now. on there own however, the scenes are great and entertaining, which is what a mummy film is all about.

Posted by: sean on July 21, 2008 at 20:47:13

Yeah!, imtiaz!, your absolutely right about that!.

Posted by: teaser-trailer.com on July 22, 2008 at 06:24:30

Only Jet Li saves this movie.

Posted by: andy on July 22, 2008 at 16:44:39

lol jet li save it? are you actually serious?

Posted by: sean on July 22, 2008 at 18:06:40

No!, brendan fraser and jet li both save the movie and the movie it self will be good anyways!.

Posted by: geovanna on July 22, 2008 at 22:17:57

Jet Li = crap

Only Brendan is good!!!!!

Posted by: Smith on July 23, 2008 at 11:29:13

Jet li is no crap. Brendan is crap. Cuz Jet li kick the **** out of ur white peoples butt inn the movie with his Army inn China... Geovanna u should go back and watch the Movie Trailer thats what itt really says... lolz

Posted by: sean on July 23, 2008 at 16:41:12

You both are wrong!, big time!, they both are awesome and this movie will kick all other 2008 summer movies butts big time!, and you both know it too!, don't you!?!?.

Posted by: Gambit on July 23, 2008 at 17:47:36

Dude, Jet Li kicks ass. Granted Forbidden Kingdom stunk, but his previous movies were pretty badass and either way you look at it he's a kickass Martial Artist and would beat the **** out of any of you haters.

Posted by: Gambit on July 23, 2008 at 17:49:33

Sean, I'm sure this Mummy film will kickass, but will it beat TDK, Iron Man, or indianna? No. It doesn't stand a chance at beating either of these 3 films.

Posted by: sean on July 23, 2008 at 22:42:27

Why do you say it wont stand a chance at beating TDK, iron man or iniana jones???. I honestly think it'll be awesome enough to beat them though because there are people, like my self who were most likely waiting for this movie to come out since the last one did in 2001 !. I quite honest can't wait to finally get to go and see it in the movie theaters this upcoming august 1st, 2008 friday! =).

Posted by: Gambit on July 24, 2008 at 01:15:14

Sean, there's just no chance. It's not getting as good buzz as either of the aforementioned movies received. I can see 200 mill or if it's lucky 250, but it won't manage to beat any of the 3 I listed.

Posted by: Smith on July 24, 2008 at 19:16:38

I have to agree with sean, cuz i been waitting for this movie too, the best summer movie always come last, cuz they have to play the suck-ie one first... like that one movie indianna, i think that was boring i like the old version better... yeah itt does make alot of money, but iam not a big fan of U F O... sorry but iam more in to History and Comic stuff. Jet Li should do more movie inn the USA cuz hes a real time KIck butt. Hey sean ur right man, iam gonna go see The Mummy too. The Mummy is where i wanna spend my $10.00 to go see. lolz

Posted by: sean on July 25, 2008 at 17:08:00

Smith!, i totally agree with you too!. I've also been waiting a long time for this movie too!, and i want amd i am going to see it too!.

Posted by: Gambit on July 25, 2008 at 18:47:17

there's no way it'll outperform the 3 movies I listed. it's not nearly as popular as any of them. Sorry to dissapoint. Even if it turns out to be a better movie it just won't have the staying power.

Posted by: Mike on July 25, 2008 at 19:34:41

Gambit, I see where you're coming from, but I do believe the fans of the Mummy franchise will bring it much success. I believe it has a good shot at beating Indiana and Iron Man in the long run. The Dark Knight, on the other hand, took this summer by storm. Either way, this movie is going to make a lot of money.

Posted by: sean on July 26, 2008 at 21:45:06

Mike, I totally understand what you've said and i totally agree with you!. This movie will be a HUGH money making surprise to everyone and will knock all earlier summer movies right out of the box office!, and i'm 100%percent sure about it too!!! =).This movie will most definately be awesome in manys ways!, too many to explain though!!!=/. I can't wait to see it in the movie theaters on august 1st, 2008 friday and most likely on dvd and blu ray disc in either december 2008 or january 2009, which is when i'm assuming it be released in movie stores that sell movies in those formats!!!!!!!!!!=).

Posted by: ico on July 26, 2008 at 23:34:27

The first one is one of my all time favorite movies. It had the perfect combination of action, scares and laughs, but i was extremely disappointed with the second one. The best way i can describe it is that it was too Matrixy. It had random bullit time shots which annoyed me and it had basically no character development and just action which got old fast. I'm not even going to mention the Scorpion King movie. I'm hoping that since Stephen Sommers has nothing to do with the story or direction, it will be much better.

P.S. SEAN, are you being paid to say that stuff or what?

Posted by: sean on July 27, 2008 at 01:11:35

No!, ico!, why are you asking?!?!, No i'm not being paid for anything i say!, i just know what i'm talking about!, and definately would not lie about any of it!, if thats what your asking or thinking?!?!.

Posted by: SEAN on August 1, 2008 at 20:54:55

WELL!, I SAW THE MOVIE!, AND THE ONLY THING I'M GONNA SAY IS IT ROCKED!, BIG TIME!, EVERY SINGLE SCENE IN THE ENTIRE MOVIE ITSELF WAS ABSOLUTELY AWESOME IN ALL WAYS THINKABLE!=). I ADVISE EVERYONE TO GO AND SEE THIS MOVIE EVERY DAY THAT THEY HAVE AVALIBLE TO THEM SELVES TO GO AND SEE IT AND ENJOY IT BECAUSE GOSH DARNING THIS MOVIE SOOOOOOOOOO DARN GOOD!!!=).

Posted by: Gambit on August 4, 2008 at 18:29:21

I told you guys that there's no way it'll outperform Iron Man, Batman or Indiana. It didn't even manage 50 million in it's opening weekend. Don't get me wrong, I like this franchise even Scorpion King and I'm going to see this new film with my gf in a couple weeks, but anyone who thought this film could beat any of the aforementioned films are idiots. :)
