Against the advice of police and cautions from the locals, Clay pursues what few leads he has with the help of a young woman he meets among a group of college kids up for an all-thrills weekend. if they keep the supernatural aspect i hope they explain what keeps him alive.

Should combine elements of the first four picks as they take place over a course of a few weeks, and Tommy Jarvis should be a young boy following the slayings-and ultimately finish off Jason.

They really need to quit remaking horror movies. In my opinion the last good remake of a classic was Savini's 1991 re-make of "night of the living dead. And at very least if there going to remake these movies because all creativity in hollywood is dead they should at least suck it up and hire good writers, not these ****ing rent-a-writers.

If this sucks, I think that Michael Bay should be kicked out of Hollywood and Platinum Dunes destroyed. I've seriously had enough of Michael Bay. I'm also starting to hate New Line WB because this is serious BS. He destroyed Texas Chainsaw Massacre and he is destroying Friday the 13th.If he even dares mess up NOES, heads will roll...and not in a good way.

Iam all about originality, so I'm glad there is going to be another Friday the 13th. However I'm ready for Kruger to come back and reclaim his throne he's the master of horror!

Posted by: Patrice Harris on April 3, 2008 at 21:45:31

I love Friday the 13th I can't wait to see the remake just as long as they stick to the original, after all Mrs. Voorhies is the original killer!

Posted by: Cindi on April 4, 2008 at 00:26:44

I don't know about the "new" Friday. Platinum Dunes and restarts are like Britney and crotch shots. The effect wears off after 5 or 6 times. 'Hodder than Hell' has it right, Kane Hodder would cool in this. But after that embarrasing abortion that Rob Zombie called a remake of Halloween, Kane might be better staying away from this one! And why is blackaciddevil asking for more reboots? It's like a virgin saying we need more syphilis.

Posted by: blackaciddevil on April 5, 2008 at 00:12:43

I'm sorry, but I gotta thin ****! It's spaghetti thin.

Posted by: Mindtrapp on April 12, 2008 at 13:00:53

another remake to disapoint, if theya re to go with Jason, try and patch up the mistake that was Freddy vs Jason. I mean, they already put the man in space. do we really need to start over.

Posted by: damon on April 21, 2008 at 12:01:45

FOR CHRIST SAKE, ENOUGH WITH THE REMAKES!!!!! IS HOLLYWOOD REALLY OUT OF IDEAS? IS THERE NO MORE CREATIVITY IN THAT CITY? HAS IT ALL BEEN DONE?
I HEAR THERE IS ALSO A MOTEL HELL REMAKE IN THE WORKS, AS WELL AS THE WOLFMAN, HELLRAISER, SCANNERS, LAST HOUSE ON THE LEFT AND THE BIRDS(WTF?!?!?!? THE BIRDS?) ATTENTION ALL HOLLYWOOD EXECS, KILL YOURSELVES!!! LEAVE FRIDAY THE 13th AND ALL THE OTHER HORROR CLASSICS A-L-O-N-E!!!!

Posted by: Chris on April 21, 2008 at 13:50:26

What's Up with these remakes. again kill the killer off for good before doing a remake so people won't get confuse. plus i would love to see a freddy vs jason 2 after what happened at the end of the first one. now that makes sense. thats how i would draw more people cause a young crowd that sees another movie made they gonna wanna go see it to find out what happens next and then wanna go buy the others if they don't have'em.

Posted by: Blunt-Man on April 23, 2008 at 15:08:11

why why why why why why why they are just going to f**k up the whole damn thing thats all there is to it no its not going to b good it cant b good u know y cuz all the hollywood writers r f**king RETARTED ass holes... but thats just my opinion

Posted by: David on April 24, 2008 at 23:00:52

Now I can see why remakes of old classic movies are popular for hollywood, cause it lets a younger generation see such great movies. But these remakes are offensive to the orignal movies. They were scary and great for a reason you don't have to change them. Now days movies are cookie cutter copies of each other and they are all about special effects with no acting and story to them. Hollywood has obvisously died and has been replaced by robots.

Good god, quit your freakin whining,Texas Chainsaw Massacre was a bad ass remake, and I still love the originals except Next Generation,it was kinda lame.Halloween was a bad ass remake, and I still love all of those. If you're that damn offended by remakes, just don't freakin watch them,it's not affecting your little lives.I'm 32 years old and I grew up watching these classics and I'm able to catch these remakes. They don't offend me at all. So,quit your whining and deal with it.

Posted by: Man in Black on April 25, 2008 at 01:08:38

Oh and one more thing...I know so much about these films because I am 32 and still live with my Mom and masturbate to these movies all day (I have no job) and then when the movie is over I read other peoples reviews and get really ANGRY because they have an opinion about the movie. So quit your bi**ing and let me get back to my hand.

Wow,looks like I got me a little basterd doppleganger here going around using other peoples names.

I'm ready for another Friday. The last one Jason X was in space, which was kinda cool, but not really a Friday the 13th with the Jason we all know and love. Im lookin forward to the new one. Man in Black, you spend too much time in here. You have 3 comments in a row and none of them have anything to do with Friday the 13th.

Posted by: jekglobal on April 25, 2008 at 17:01:46

Can't wait for another Friday the 13th.Jared Padalecki is cool in Supernatural.I think he'll do this one some good.Man in Black, you need to chill man.Don't let these kids get to you.

Hello!!! Anybody at New Line Cinema lstening???? There is only ONE Jason Voorhees, and that's KANE HODDER! I still, to this day, haven't seen Freddy vs Jason, and I never will. Not, unless KANE HODDER is playing him!!! I wonder if I'm making my point?

BRING BACK KANE HODDER
BRING BACK KANE HODDER

As one of the biggest Friday fans there is, I am wet in the pants awaiting this release! From all the leaks I have read , this one is gonna be a classic! The best part about this film, for all horror fans is the fact that nobody in Hollywood can ever recreate an icon like Jason and keep the longevity of successful sequels ongoing for decades and generations to enjoy. Moreover, the idea of "remaking" the original is awesome! Technically this won't even be a remake because Mr. Voorhees' screen time in the original was about 5 seconds. I love the idea of exploiting the fact that Jason is "human"; right down to explaining the tunnels under the woods and the camp thus extinguishing any theory he has some
type of supernatural abilities. In conclusion,
anyone who is a "true" Friday fan should be ecstatic about the news of this production. Cheers to the 12th and wouldn't it just be perfect to end the series with a 13th????!!!!

I, too, am ferociously tired of bland re-makes, J-horror, and torture porn. But remember people, it's not the writer's doing this, it's the studios. And they wouldn't do it, if the money wasn't there. So who do you blame...? Anyone who shells out cash to see this dreck! I'm as guilty as the next guy, so I've already stopped going to see the torture stuff and J-horror. I'm getting pretty close with the bland re-makes.

Posted by: x-man on May 8, 2008 at 17:51:28

Seems to me like this one would top all the classics as far as update. This one for a fact would give you a clear tale of how friday the 13 should be told. Good luck Marcus Nispel.

I'm really worried that this is gonna turn into another TCM monstrosity! To me the best thing about these kinda movies (particularly Jason movies) is the gratuitous T & A and underlined humor.....without that you get **** like Saw, Hostel, and yes, the last 2 TCM movies....you get torture porn...which is totally not what Jason is about.....they better not **** this up! And what's this BS about making Jason human?? Jason's a F'n juggernaut!! That's half the fun of Jason, that he's f'n unstoppable!! So basically we're being stuck with Michael Myers, wearing a different mask and "pretending" to be Jason..

I think these hollywood douchebags should just follow the old saying "if it's not broken...don't F'N fix it!!"

Posted by: Hodder All The Way on May 11, 2008 at 01:18:06

p.s

Cn0te's you're idiot..."anyone who is a "true" Friday fan should be ecstatic about the news of this production." ARE YOU FREAKIN' kidding me?? have you even SEEN any Friday the 13th movies?? If what we've been hearing and reading about this movie (Michael Bay, Marcus Nispel, and a ***** -ass HUMAN Jason of all freakin things) is true, any true Friday fan should NOT be ecstatic about this news but should be cringing in utter fear that our beloved franchise will turn into just another torutre-porn piece of **** like the last 2 TCM movies....
