Exclusive! The Red Band Trailer for Jennifer's Body!
Source:Ryan Rotten, Managing Editor
July 6, 2009

She took on wise-crackin', leg-humpin' robots in Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, and now Megan Fox is wielding a voracious appetite and going head-to-head with Amanda Seyfried in Jennifer's Body, 20th Century Fox's horror offering arriving on September 18th. Screenwriter Diablo Cody (Juno) whipped up this hellish tale about a high school cheerleader (Fox), screwed over by a visiting rock band, who becomes possessed by a demon and begins to feed off of the fellas in her town.

In a exclusive, we've got your first look at the red band trailer. 'Tis right, your first ever peek at the film before a green band trailer strikes soon. Here, director Karyn Kusama, Cody and producer Jason Reitman can explain...

"Fox is putting a trailer of Jennifer's Body in front of Bruno this Friday. Great, right? Only problem is it's not our trailer. It's kind of a straight horror preview and while we're sure it'll appeal to many of you, we wanted to make sure you guys got to see our cut... Lets call it the "filmmaker's cut". We think it captures the comedy and scares of the horror films we grew up on - a kind of nostalgia for when horror films were fun. Can't wait to show you the whole film... In the meantime, here's the red band trailer we wanted our fans to see."

- Karyn, Diablo, and Jason

Cool, yes? Enjoy the trailer and expect a full Jennifer's Body set visit report soon!

Looks pretty decent. But the trailer doesn't make look like it's a preview for a movie that comes from the mind of Diablo Cody. Either way, it looks like a good comedy-thriller like "Slither".

Damn it to hell. When I heard it was actually rated R, I got a little bit of hope for it. And then that trailer happened. It is the same cheesy teen crap that has been coming out for the last 10 years, only they're letting them say **** and show a little blood and skin.

But really, after Diablo Cody's last "script", what were we expecting?

definetly got a slither vibe

I'm in. Looks very stylish.

"But the trailer doesn't make look like it's a preview for a movie that comes from the mind of Diablo Cody."

Huh? It's her second produced screenplay, and it's a different genre. What do you want, the hand-drawn font?

Panic at the Disco? I thought Diablo Cody had taste. I am horribly mistaken. Guess the studio money must've got her.

This is either going to be total awesome and a cult classic or this will be a huge flop, I say this because there are a few really big names in this and people will stand up and pay attention

Looks pretty good. Man, I can't believe all the haters that have flocked here already. This looks way different than all the "teen horror" movies that have came out of late. Just because it's set in high school doesn't mean it's the same. I'm just glad she isn't a vampire like I thought she was going to be. Not that I don't mind vampire movies - I just didn't want this to be one.

Also. What the hell does Panic at the Disco have to do with anything?

Megan Fox is a beautiful lady, but she looks too old to play a high schooler. Nonetheless, all I had to hear was "I can take of myself...I've been using the Bowflex" and my ticket was bought.

Oh, are you talking about the soundtrack? What does taste and studio money have to do with anything? The studio didn't give me money and I kind of like PaTD. They aren't bad in spite of the genre of music they are "grouped" in. They're way better than the likes of Fall Out Boy, their peers and...much everyone else. Hell, they're only on their second album and they have already evolved and matured their sound. Their first one was damn good, too, and is actually pretty original sounding. But still it's atypical of the stuff I listen too. Don't et me wrong.

I didn't even know they were making another Ginger Snaps!

Megan Fox might be hot, but since I don't plan on sitting in the theater with a boner, I really don't care.

this looks AWESOME! i wasn't sure if the movie (with it's ultra-cheese possibility) would come off alright but i think they nailed it. this looks GREAT!
i LOVE the music (The Runaways CHERRY BOMB) too!

I don't mind seeing another teen angst slasher especially when it has the woman guys tend to salivate over.

Posted by: Jamie on July 6, 2009 at 12:05:34

Bleh...looks pretty cool but they lost me at Adam Brody. The guy that takes weak ass roles like In the Land of Women and the O.C. Can't take him or anybody from the O.C. seriously. I'll probably stomach it just to see some more of Megan Fox getting down and dirty.

Posted by: John Cale on July 6, 2009 at 12:09:19

Wow, this looks horrible. Megan Fox cannot act to save her life, and Diablo Cody needs to go back to whoring her ******* out for spare change or whatever she did before that blind/deaf/mute green-lighted Juno.

Juno was ****ing horrible, Ms. Cody. Eat **** and die.

Posted by: Jeff on July 6, 2009 at 12:09:25

LMAO! That looks so ****ed up that it'll probobly be good. Diablo Cody's one twisted woman.

Posted by: Takeawalk on July 6, 2009 at 12:16:16

It was looking pretty good until the 1:08 mark then it stared to go downhill. I think it should of been more of a horror movie and left of the comedy.

Posted by: John Cale on July 6, 2009 at 12:18:13

Here's my above message, UNCENSORED. So Diablo Cody is cool and hip enough to say F.uck in her crappy trailer but we can't type F.uck on her message-board?

"Wow, this looks horrible. Megan Fox cannot act to save her life, and Diablo Cody needs to go back to whoring her A.sshole out for spare change or whatever she did before that blind/deaf/mute green-lighted Juno.

Juno was f.ucking horrible, Ms. Cody. Eat s.hit and die."
