Holy crap!! This is fantastic news! I've been waiting for even a mere mention of a sequel for some time now. After seeing the last two films, the Creeper has been officially considered one of the coolest (and scariest)monsters in modern times in my book. In this day in age, with the human psycho slasher films still the route most often taken, it's great to see supernatural monsters like the Creeper return!

I think they've waited long enough to make so that there will be interest, but they should lose the tagline in the title; everybody knows who The Creeper is anyway.

I loved the first two and cannot wait. But Justin Long should do a cameo. I mean he was in the first one and he was great and he did a cameo in the second one so maybe he could be in another cameo or something.

As I sit here watching Jeepers Creeper 1 for the umphteenth time. I can't help but be excited about the up and coming part 3. My fear is that we all know once they start doing sequels it starts to loose its effect. Although I also loved part 2, I noticed that they changed the makeup somewhat on the creeper. Making him more human and even with a sense of humor. That to me was a turn off, they should have kept the original look as he was the most terrifying and creepiest, and lose the sense of humor. Keep him just as he was in part one. For the life of me I can't see why they are thinking of making part 3 in a western theme. What the hell is that about?? Just keep the original look, the frights and add some more mystery and I will continue to always love these movies.

Maggie, just a theory here (I hope it's not a spoiler alert), but maybe why they started to make him more human-looking in Jeepers Creepers 2 gives credence to the tentative title of part 3, "The Creeper Walks Among Us." This could suggest that everytime the Creeper's been feeding in the past movies, he's been taking on more human-looking chracteristics from his prey. In part 3, he may have gotten to the point where he appears so human, other humans don't initially realize he's a threat. I don't know if that would be a good shift for the character, but I'm sure Salva would find someway to make it good & juicy!
By the way, I actually thought the Creeper looked more menacing in part 2 than he did in the original. In part 1, he looked really dusty (hence the "ancient evil" reference), but in part 2, his skin looked a lot more wet & "new" suggesting that after he feeds on his victims and they become a part of him, it literally looks like a brand new extremity.
I can't wait to see how part 3 plays out though! I've been waiting years for this & I'm glad it's finally got some steam behind it.

Maggie, also the western part is just the prologue or beginning of the film. It isn't the setting for the entire movie. This is probably done to place some sort of origin story on the Creeper or it may have to do with the human characters in the film (their ancestors or something). Overall, part three takes place twenty-one years after the events in Jeepers Creepers 2.

Excited to hear there is going to be a Jeepers Creeper 3 i have been waiting ever since i seen the second one, i love watching them its the best horror movie i have ever seen, but the talk about having it put in theaters or just put out on dvd right away it definitly has to be in theaters because the movies that come out to dvd right away turn out to be a load of crap, and besides the Creeper has to be in the theaters its the greatest horror movie ever.

YAY, a DTV sequal to 2 very crappy movies, the trailer should say "COMING SOON TO A WAL-MART $5 BARGAIN BIN NEAR YOU" Jeepers Creepers ranks just above Blair Witch Project on the worst horror film ever list for me, but it's better than Hostel
