Plot Summary: Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart) has always been a little bit different, never caring about fitting in with the trendy girls at her Phoenix high school. When her mother remarries and sends Bella to live with her father in the rainy little town of Forks, Washington, she doesn’t expect much of anything to change. Then she meets the mysterious and dazzlingly beautiful Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson), a boy unlike any she's ever met. Intelligent and witty, he sees straight into her soul. Soon, Bella and Edward are swept up in a passionate and decidedly unorthodox romance. Edward can run faster than a mountain lion, he can stop a moving car with his bare hands – and he hasn’t aged since 1918. Like all vampires, he's immortal. But he doesn’t have fangs, and he doesn’t drink human blood; Edward and his family are unique among vampires in their lifestyle choice. To Edward, Bella is that thing he has waited 90 years for – a soul mate. But the closer they get, the more Edward must struggle to resist the primal pull of her scent, which could send him into an uncontrollable frenzy. But what will Edward & Bella do when James (Cam Gigandet), Laurent (Edi Gathegi) and Victoria (Rachelle Lefevre), the Cullens' mortal vampire enemies, come to town, looking for her?

the books are amzing, but i don't like the choice inthe casting of esme [to old looking no offense] calrise the same oppion still [no offense] and jasper is too short Joe Anderson would be a good pick for Jasper.Emmet isn't big enough and,if theres no Victoria i'm not gonna see it beacuse shes the whole point of the horror. Edward has to protect Bella from James,Laurent, and VICTORIA! and what about Jacob Balck? Hes a huge role in their lifes too!

I think this movie is gonna be great. If the casting director didn't think they could pull it off they would have gotten someone else to play the parts. I'm looking forward to seeing it.

i believe this movie is going to be great, but still, i believe i'm going to be disappointed, because those books are great, and movies are not. The story they've written are all wrong! they don't come looking for Bella, and they are not the Cullen's mortal enemies...! hrmf...

I am super stoked that this amazing book with full on detail is to be a movie 2 days after my birthday.Stephanie Meyer's books have caught and held on to my attention I hope to feel the same about the next book and movie.I am sure I will not be disappointed.

THIS IS GOING TO BE EXTREMELY MINT!

I don't really care who got casted for the movie. All I care about is how the movie makes me feel. These books were fabulous and they made me love the Characters. I just hope that the movie provokes the same emotions the book did.

the cast may suck but thats not even important! im just looking for certain things like are they going to have the meadow scene or will they totally screw up the story line .. i mean theyre already saying ridiculous things about the movie that has nothing to do with the books but this actually could be a great movie if we werent all hung up on the book details....guess thats just too bad for the producers..theyre gona get sum mean reactions to this film...i just hope they put the whole jacob bella edward relationship in there right...did anyone ever notice that they made laurent, black? i mean not that i have anything against black people-my bff is black but i mean vamps lose their skin pigments so it is impossible to have a black vampire! i mean they shouldnt have made eric asian either!!!!!!! its BEN whos asian! ya kno angelas bf? god! get it right or dont expect people to cum watch ur stupid movie....btw bellas double is WAY better than kristen stewart!!!!!!!!...she suks...she talks like a man and she NEVER smiles...stuppppppppid!

This movie has already won 2 awards (most Antisipated Movie) and it hasn't even been released. The cast is amazing and fit the charistics perfectly, and for all who think "Nikki Reed does not look like Rosalie" remeber, we are friggin human and we are not gonna get somone who is insanley beautiful(Nikki Reed is Pretty though) or fit the character perfectly. THIS MOVIE IS GONNA BE AMAZING!

"To Edward, Bella is that thing he has waited 90 years for - a soul mate" Edward is ove 100 years old. Though he is "17"

"And what will they do when Laurent and James, the Cullens' mortal vampire enemies, come to town, looking for Bella?" Excuse me, Umm they were playing baseball and Alice had seen NEWCOMERS-strangers, who Carlisle had to explain why they didn't hunt humans, but James was a tracker, and Victoria was with James.
They were not mortal enemies, they just met.
GET IT STRAIGHT]

BTW!! www.TwilightLexicon.com has all the character bios, (Even Bree(the newborn who Jane had Demitri kill))

So all CORRECT updates abou the movie can be found there YaY

The book is going to be a trillion times better than the movie. I am really looking forward to the movie although i am scared that it will be really bad, not that i have no trust. I am not really liking the cast, but there is no changing that now! we all just have to see what happens and just hope for the best.

i tihnk they could have done better with casting here are the ppl i would fix :

emmett: tom welling

alice: rachael leigh cook

james: cillian murphy

bella: emily browning

and thye should change rosalie to someone prettier :p and they should change esme too....

Posted by: Sarrr//xx on March 14, 2008 at 18:07:20

omg and for jacob black it should be: taylor lautner...ferrr sure

Posted by: C. Nicole on March 16, 2008 at 00:02:13

The only characters they did a decent casting for would be Roalie, Alice, James, Charlie, and Jacob. OH, and James, he's hot. Joanna whoever would have made a nice Rosalie and Rachel Cook would have made a nice Alice, though.
If you want to look at it from a certain point, Stephenie said that Bella isn't beautiful. Emily would have been too pretty (I wanted her to get it). So Kristen is just right, from that point. :D
Edward isn't insanely breathtaking stunningly beautiful enough, HENRY CAVILL- perfect Edward or Carlisle. Robert has gross eyebrows that needs to pluck and needs to stop looking so HIGH all the time.
BUT YA KNOW, we're nobodies and couldn't pick the cast. So might as well just quit whinning about that now.
The Novels are always better than the movie. For any series/book. This is going to be the same way. They can't have a movie that follows exactly with the book. That's why Laurent and James are the Cullens' "immortal enemies". Catch that drift? They've read the book, I think they know and have their facts straight.

Through all of the . . . whatever that has followed the movie so far, I'm remaining HIGHLY optimistic about it. In the end we'll probably fall in love with Robert JUST because he played Edward. Stephenie wouldn't have agreed to the movie if she thought it wasn't good enough, SO QUIET DOWN ABOUT IT SUCKING. We haven't seen it yet. It's annoyed and you all sound utterly spoiled. I love the series as much as you, believe me.

Posted by: lexi on March 16, 2008 at 19:39:17

okay so everyone is mad cause people keep calling james laurent and victoria the cullen's mortal enemies. first, they arent mortal cause they're VAMPIRES hahaha....okay but people are just gonna have to deal with thats how the people who wrote the screen play wrote it, instead of random vampires showing up, its enemies of the cullens. Also, my only hope is that they make the characters look good, they do NOT make any unnescessary love triangles (i read an article that said rosalie and edward had a fling and that REALLY was upsetting). my only other request is that they make it where james wants to kill bella, because of the whole alice thing...not for like other reasons.....idk but i think the movie is gonna be pretty good.

Posted by: Sierra on March 26, 2008 at 05:13:58

C'mon, the first book was 400+ pages. No way they'll be able to make 1 movie that has every detail. So hardcore freak fans expect to be disappointed from the getgo. Fans who just want to watch another interesting, fun, predictable book gone straight to movie screens? It should be decent.

And the book series is decent. It's not the best of the best. In fact, I felt the first book was way to long and could have really emphasized more on the Edward & Bella dynamic than dragging on the "mysterious" pretense of their relationship. We know he's different. carry on!
Eh, well, the ending of the first book was alright. I'd much rather have the story told from Edward's POV than Bella but that's just me.

It will be great vampire movies of the 21 century and i hope to see in theather.

Are the first posts really from males??
Every woman wants (their) men to read
Stephenie Meyer's books.

Check out TwilightMoms.com for great info.

Movie franchise should be big success.

I can't wait for Twilight to hit the theaters. Rob is doing a fantastic job as Edward. He and Kristen have great chemistry and are going to bring the story to life just perfectly. They were not my first choices as Edward and Bella, but they are definitely pulling it off beautifully. Have faith.

Posted by: sabe on March 28, 2008 at 21:51:51

all I can say is that I'm excited.

woohoo.

Posted by: Amber on March 29, 2008 at 07:48:29

you don't have the right to say it'll suck.Have you been to the set?Have you read the script for the movie?NO.

So why don't you shut up and just get over the fact that you don't like the actors that's why you're acting like a spoilt brat'sam'

God,who do you think you are?

Posted by: Kim on March 29, 2008 at 11:11:51

If the movie truly reflects the books then the "Genre" should be classified as a "Romantic, Thriller".

Posted by: Melba87 on March 29, 2008 at 13:45:36

I don't think "Genre: Thriller, Horror, Drama" is an accurate description. It should be replaced with "Genre: Thriller, Drama, Romance"

Just my two cents. FWIW.

Posted by: ashley on March 29, 2008 at 14:28:27

i dont think you could have done a better job with the casting stephenie said it would be hard to cast the cast because everyone's imagination is different i love the cast
